I am dreading the wave of out-of-date VPN packages that are going to cause issues all over the place on this. Issues with split tunnelling and with leakage from VPNs are going to be an issue. I am still waiting to get my hands on a new M1 MacBook Pro, so I don't haven't been able to verify yet, but what I am hearing is that these changes are going to play merry hell with VPN apps as well.
